KBR is seeking a Meetings & Travel Specialist in Houston Texas to join our Global Travel Services team. This role is responsible for planning coordinating and executing corporate meetings events and travel-related initiatives while ensuring exceptional service budget stewardship and policy compliance. The position also supports KBRs corporate travel program and serves as a key administrator of the companys preferred global hotel program. The ideal candidate is highly organized customer-focused and experienced in corporate meetings event management and travel operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate corporate meetings conferences team events private dining events training sessions and other company-sponsored programs.
- Manage event logistics including venue selection room blocks catering audiovisual services transportation and attendee communications.
- Partner with sourcing providers and hotels to secure meeting space negotiate terms and obtain competitive pricing.
- Support contract administration activities in accordance with company procurement and legal requirements.
- Manage event registration processes and attendee tracking activities.
- Develop event budgets forecasts reconciliations and post-event reporting.
- Conduct venue research site evaluations and supplier assessments.
- Provide onsite event support and coordination when required.
- Administer Meeting Card documentation expense reconciliation and charge code allocation processes.
- Coordinate rooming lists and hotel reservations through preferred travel management providers.
- Process event-related payment requests and supplier invoices.
- Lead administration of the companys preferred global hotel program including hotel participation traveler communication and program reporting.
- Support day-to-day corporate travel program activities and assist the Global Travel Manager with special projects and initiatives.
- Maintain supplier relationships and assist with supplier performance reviews.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement cost savings and enhanced service delivery.
- Maintain accurate event contract invoice and travel program records.
Basic Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management Event Management Business Administration Tourism or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in corporate meetings event planning hospitality travel management or related disciplines.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
- Experience working directly with suppliers hotels travel providers or event management organizations.

Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification or progress toward certification.
- Experience supporting global travel programs or corporate travel operations.
- Experience negotiating hotel and meeting contracts.
- Experience administering event registration platforms and attendee management systems.
- Familiarity with Concur Cvent or similar travel and event management technologies.
Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses commissions or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation.
