Medical Records Clerk

The Medical Records Clerk 1 assembles and maintains patients health information in medical records and charts. The Medical Records Clerk 1 performs basic administrative/clerical/operational/customer support/computational tasks. Typically work on routine and patterned assignments.

Note: This is a remote position. You must reside in the State of Florida.

You will be reporting to:

Manager Clinic/Center Administration

Required Qualifications

Less than 3 years working knowledge of computers.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel

Ability to travel locally (potentially overnight occasionally)

You must reside in the State of Florida

You will be part of Humanas Driver safety program and therefore requires you to have a valid state drivers license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with at least 100/300/100 limits

Other Qualifications

Associate or bachelors Degree in a related field

Previous healthcare or health insurance experience

We prefer candidates residing in Eastern Florida.

Familiarity with medical terminology and ICD-9 codes

Bilingual in English and Spanish

Humana considers this role patient facing and runs its Tuberculosis (TB) screening program which includes this role. If selected for this role we will require you to screen for TB.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills knowledge experience education certifications etc.

$38000 - $45800 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
