This full-time on-site position plays a critical role in supporting patient care through accurate diagnostic testing and laboratory analysis. Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests on blood urine and other patient specimens
  • Prepare specimens for analysis and ensure proper labeling handling and storage
  • Operate and calibrate laboratory equipment following established protocols and manufacturer guidelines
  • Record and verify test results reporting abnormal or critical findings to supervising staff promptly
  • Perform quality control procedures to maintain the accuracy and reliability of test outcomes
  • Adhere to all laboratory safety infection control and biohazard disposal standards
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Manage inventory of reagents supplies and laboratory consumables
  • Assist in specimen collection procedures when required
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation in compliance with regulatory guidelines and accreditation standards
Requirements
  • Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related clinical science field
  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) through ASCP AMT or equivalent credentialing organization preferred
  • Prior experience in a clinical laboratory setting is a plus but not required
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols standard operating procedures and quality assurance practices
  • Proficiency with laboratory information systems (LIS) and basic computer applications
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data recording and reporting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team-oriented healthcare environment
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle laboratory equipment and specimens
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and following HIPAA regulations
