As a Medical Director practice medicine while establishing the direction and medical quality of the hospital

Fast-paced collaborative practice with credentialed technicians veterinary assistants and client service representatives
24/7 emergency and critical care hospital serving the Milwaukee community for over 10 years specializing in dogs cats and exotics.
Our veterinarians enjoy work-life balance with 10 to 12 shifts per month.
Our modern full-service facility includes:
Spacious treatment area with specialized isolation and exotic wards
Two surgical suites and special procedures room
Advanced diagnostic equipment: digital radiography ultrasound endoscopy
Intensive care unit: oxygen and temperature support continuous fluids infused medicine advanced monitoring
In-house laboratory and pharmacy
On-site blood donor program to support our emergency and critical care cases
Located on Milwaukees southwest side close to a vibrant city with Midwest charm and affordable living.
Outdoor activities: Enjoy the shores of Lake Michigan scenic parks trails and seasonal events.
Food drink and sports: Milwaukee is known for its culinary and brewery scenes and is home to the Brewers (MLB) and Bucks (NBA). Lambeau Field home of the Green Bay Packers (NFL) is only a two-hour drive away.
Cultural and family-friendly venues: Milwaukee Art Museum Harley Davidson Museum Milwaukee Public Museum and Betty Brinn Childrens Museum.
The schedule is mainly composed of day and swing shifts with the occasional overnight shift.
10 shifts per month on the floor seeing patients and1-2 shifts per month attending to MD responsibilities (admin tasks medical records reviews doctor meetings etc.)
Day shift: 6:00 AM 6:00 PM
Swing shift: 12:00 PM 12:00 AM
Night shift: 6:00 PM 6:00 AM
Rotating weekends and holidays
Emergency and critical care cases including dogs cats and exotics

As a VCA Associate eligible full-time employees will be rewarded with a comprehensive package including:
Compensation
Salary is negotiable based on experience skills knowledge abilities and other relevant salary range listed is based on a 40-hour work week.
Medical Director stipend (paid biweekly) and Medical Director annual bonus
Sign on/relocation/longevity bonuses available
This position may also be eligible for other variable pay programs.

Qualifications
A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university or equivalent
Licensure in good standing to practice in (WI) or the ability to obtain
A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
