Medical Assistant

JOB TITLE: Medical AssistantREPORTS TO: Nurse Leader JOB GOAL:To assist the Nurse Leader in implementing school district health policies and procedures and assist school health services under the direct supervision of the building Registered Nurses and/or Registered Nurse Leader. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Will assist the School Nurses with the daily operation of the Health Office including but not limited to:Communication with staff students and parentsVital SignsMaintenance of the Electronic Health RecordsAssistance with Health ScreeningsMinor First Aid under the supervision of the RNAssisting students to and from the Nursing OfficeOther tasks assigned by the School Nurses LANGUAGE SKILLS:Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language. Ability to read and interpret documents such as rules policies instructions correspondence and procedures. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to employees students and the general public.
