Job Summary

Overview

The Medical Assistant I maintains department patient care supplies ensures timely flow of patients and assists physicians and nurses to provide optimal care to patients and families.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of routine direct patient care duties to assist medical and nursing staff in the examination and treatment of patients.
Maintains patient care environment and supplies to ensure patient privacy and safety.
Pre-visit telephone reminder calls to remind patients of upcoming appointments. Obtain vital signs on patients age 0-21 to include weight height blood pressure pulse ox pulse. Assist with monitoring of autism patients until MD in room as needed. Complete medication reconciliation in office of all medication and over the counter medications that the patient may be taking Ensure paperwork is complete and available for upcoming patient appointments - to include Vanderbilt forms referral forms developmental testing as ordered by provider.

Qualifications

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)American Heart Association (AHA) Education: H.S. Diploma/GED (Required) Work Experience:

Salary Range

The compensation range for this position is $17.12per hour - $27.73per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidates experience qualifications location training licenses shifts worked and compensation model.
