Medical Assistant

Were seeking a Medical Assistant II to support our backoffice clinical team. Youll work directly with providers assist with procedures and help ensure smooth patient flow throughout the day.

• Prepare patients for visits exams and procedures

• Obtain vital signs medical histories and document medications/allergies

• Perform inoffice procedures: EKG spirometry peak flow bone density nebulizer treatments

• Relay lab results and followup instructions to patients

• Assist providers with exams and inoffice procedures

• Administer immunizations and injections and monitor patients afterward

• Handle incoming calls from patients pharmacies and other medical offices

• Communicate test results and next steps clearly and accurately

• Process medication refill requests following provider protocols

• Clean and sanitize exam rooms; sterilize instruments

• Support clinic operations and collaborate with all departments

• 1 year of backoffice Medical Assistant experience (required)

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Dependable polite and patientfocused

• Strong multitasking and prioritization skills

• Able to adapt quickly and problemsolve in a busy clinic

• Teamoriented and committed to delivering excellent care

• Athena EMR experience is a plus
