Mechanical Thermal Engineer
Job Summary
EPG is currently seeking a Mechanical / Thermal Engineer for one of our partners that is an established high-voltage battery and power-electronics company bringing technology proven in demanding high-reliability applications to a new backup-power product for AI data this position you will own the mechanical packaging and thermal design that gets a high-voltage battery and power converter into a datacenter rack and keeps it cool under continuous duty.
- Design the battery-pack and power-converter enclosure for datacenter rack integration.
- Own the thermal strategy air- and liquid-cooled for continuous duty.
- Handle rack space weight access packaging and serviceability.
- Integrate rack airflow and cooling; own the thermal interface with the battery team.
- Own ingress protection and high-power-density enclosure design.
- BS in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5 years of thermal management and mechanical packaging of power electronics or battery systems.
- Both air- and liquid-cooling design experience.
- High-power-density enclosure design plus thermal simulation.
- This role is onsite in the Pacific Northwest. Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship (US Persons only export-control requirement).
- Packaging automotive or aerospace battery/power systems into stationary or industrial products.
- Datacenter rack standards (EIA-310 OCP) and liquid-cooling infrastructure.

Required Skills:
BS in Mechanical Engineering. 5 years of thermal management and mechanical packaging of power electronics or battery systems. Both air- and liquid-cooling design experience. High-power-density enclosure design plus thermal simulation. This role is onsite in the Pacific Northwest. Required Education:
BS in Mechanical Engineering.
