Atlas is seeking an experienced Mechanical Systems Inspector to support construction of the Bull Run Filtration Facility one of the Pacific Northwests most significant water infrastructure projects. This state-of-the-art facility will provide a resilient drinking water filtration system serving the greater Portland region for generations to come.

In this role you will perform inspections of mechanical systems including process piping pumps valves tanks and treatment equipment to verify compliance with project specifications codes and regulatory requirements. This position requires a strong field presence exceptional attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively with contractors engineers technicians and project leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect process piping pumps valves treatment equipment foundations supports and restraints.
  • Verify installations comply with approved drawings specifications and manufacturer requirements.
  • Witness and document hydrostatic testing pressure testing equipment startup and commissioning activities.
  • Review shop drawings and submittals to support inspection activities.
  • Document non-conforming work and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Maintain daily reports field documentation and photo records.
  • Participate in pre-installation meetings hold points and quality reviews.
  • Monitor contractor quality control activities and support project commissioning efforts.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of mechanical inspection or construction experience.
  • Experience on water wastewater heavy civil or industrial infrastructure projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings specifications P&IDs and isometrics.
  • Knowledge of mechanical equipment installation piping systems testing and commissioning.
  • Familiarity with AWWA ASTM and ASME standards preferred.
  • Experience with welding inspection or CWI certification is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Procore Bluebeam and Microsoft Office.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred.
  • Strong communication documentation and organizational skills.
  • Valid drivers license required.
  • Ability to pass background check MVR review and drug screening.

    The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the states law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
