Job Summary

The Need:

Our clients engineering team is expanding and we are looking for a hands-on driven Mechanical Project Engineer to lead capital projects from initial concept design through floor commissioning. Ardmore OK

Contract:

Initial 1-Year term with right to extend. CTH is not in scope but may be considered for right candidate after 6-12 months in position.

Work Status:

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (US Citizen preferred Green card or H1 may be considered. No Sponsorship.)

Work Schedule:

Normal work hours 40 hrs/ week Monday Friday however occasional shifts in schedules can be made to provide coverage for project installations and start-ups requiring weekend or holiday coverage. Overtime work may be approved as needed but will not be typical. Work Plant Shutdowns as needed.

This work almost always falls on weekends & Holidays. Work schedules will vary based on project need and assignment

What Youll Do:
  • Lead Capital Projects: Execute on-site hands-on industrial equipment installations decommissioning relocations precision alignment and start-ups.
  • Direct On-Floor Execution: Manage internal maintenance teams and external contractors to ensure project objectives are met safely and on schedule.
  • Design & Document: Utilize 2D CAD tools to develop mechanical specifications piping/fluid layouts component sizing and complete life-of-machine documentation.
  • Enforce Compliance: Ensure every modification meets corporate standards and strict regulatory codes.
  • Liaise across cross-functional departments:Bridge communication between facility engineering central quality methods purchasing teams and equipment suppliers to assure mutual system requirement understanding.
  • Fulfill flexible travel requirements: Commit to travel expectations of typically up to 30% annually with the flexibility to exceed 30% depending on specific project assignments.

What Were Looking For:
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent technical education).
  • Experience: 3 years of engineering project experience in an industrial manufacturing or large commercial environment.
  • Hands-on Expertise: Solid background in equipment alignment disassembly reassembly and commissioning.
  • Technical Mastery: Strong knowledge of pneumatics hydraulics piping/fitting and material handling systems (cranes jibs lifting devices end-effectors).
  • Compliance & Standards: Practical experience applying OSHA ASME ANSI and ISO standards to equipment designs.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in 2D CAD Mechanical design tools. (Proficiency in AutoCAD or DraftSight 2D is a major plus.)
  • Collaboration: A proven ability to network build positive relationships and work flexibly during critical plant shutdown or holiday windows.
