JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Mechanical Plumbing Engineer to join our Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing (MEP) team at our Mount Holly NJ office. This role involves the design development analysis and coordination of plumbing systems - including domestic water sanitary storm fire protection and specialty piping - for commercial industrial healthcare and institutional projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and collaborative with the ability to deliver innovative code-compliant solutions that meet client needs and integrate seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and develop plumbing systems including domestic water sanitary stormwater natural gas and specialty piping systems
Perform system and hydraulic calculations including pipe sizing pressure loss flow rates equipment selection and layout design in accordance with local codes and standards (IPC NSPC IFGC ASPE & NFPA)
Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes national standards and green building requirements (LEED WELL)
Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with clients & stakeholders
Prepare detailed construction documents (drawings specifications and schedules)
Coordinate and collaborate with other disciplines including architectural mechanical HVAC electrical and structural teams to ensure seamless project coordination
Assist in preparing technical reports proposals and engineering studies
Assist with construction cost estimating and scheduling
Conduct site visits inspections and assessments to verify compliance with design intent & code requirements
Review shop drawings submittals and requests for information during construction administration phase for adherence to design specifications
Provide mentorship to Junior Engineers and Designers
Additional tasks may be assigned as needed

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Strong knowledge of civil & plumbing engineering principles and practices
Proficiency in design software: Revit GIS Civil 3D AutoCAD Bluebeam and Mathcad
Experience in project management and engineering
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality safety and compliance
