Job Summary

Summary:The Mechanical Engineer is an active participant in the design procurement fabrication assembly integration start-up and commissioning of very large-scale automated aerospace assembly systems. They will work with other Design Engineers to concept develop and design conventional and automated tooling systems and customized machine tools for the aerospace and Responsibilities: Design tools and automation equipment for aircraft and other precision manufacturing industries. Prioritize project goalsrelated to the mechanical design engineering for new product introduction to revises3Ddesigns and2Ddrawingsin accordance with internal and/orcustomer -checks and reviews alldesigns anddrawings prior to final release to design procedures fills out required forms and closes all actions associated with internal and customer design required experience skills and attributes for assigned level in engineering technology (software) tools and personal & leadership on the Engineering Skills In training for concepting and stress; trained but needs support in design and technical publications can work autonomously to create In training for machine design and integration; trained but needs support in jigs & tools platforms and Tools Trained but needs support in CATIA and & leadership In training for ability to lead customer interface requirements management and scheduling & estimation; trained but needs support in process-based telephone calls from build suppliers and shop personnel for mechanical design engineering problems and associated all changes DCNs and as-built information is incorporated on record file and maintain all component information for concepts and component and material sizing for designs; requests and provides input to cognizant stress analysis and follow safety & environmental regulations and identifies safety/environmental concerns. Adhere to the Quality System and participates in Continuous other duties as and Work Experience:Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience or more years related experience in one or more of the following: Heavy Machine Design Structural Design Aerospace Tooling Assembly Systems and and machine shop background or relevant experience Software Knowledge:CATIA V5 NX or Equivalent software knowledge (Solidworks Pro E etc.)Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software (Ansys or Femap is preferred)Must be able to obtain maintain and/or currently possess a Secret security Authorization/Security Clearance Requirements:Must be able to obtain maintain and/or currently possess a security Skills and Abilities:List of needed knowledge skills and abilities to successfully accomplish the duties and responsibilities of the and understand drawings and schematics (ie: electronics mechanics hydraulics pneumatics).Use computer-aided design (CAD).Display a high level of initiative effort and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner.
