The Mechanical Engineer Level 2 is responsible for the mechanical design and engineering of commercial and government facility mechanical systems including plumbing heating and air-conditioning systems.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of assignments in the design of mechanical systems for commercial and government facilities. Uses AutoCAD and Revit software to create detailed preliminary drawings Works with a multi-disciplinary design team to create design sketches layouts and plans Conducts site and construction surveys for information-gathering purposes and prepares reports. Produces specifications for products and chooses equipment and components to be used in construction. Perform engineering calculations to support design work Design systems according to various codes standards and design guidelines ensuring compliance Interpret Scope of Work understanding deliverables Prepare narrative for project submittals Prepare and compile design documents for project submittals Studies the test data and makes comparisons with similar designs. Create and review technical drawings plans and specifications using AutoCAD & Revit Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams and work with vendors and contractors Perform detailed documentation to track project development and design process Other duties as required

Excellent organizational skills Excellent communication & verbal skills Strong writing skills Proficient in MS Office and Outlook 365 AutoCAD and Revit experience

Engineer in Training (EIT) LEED Specialty Accreditation Preferred
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to access and navigate all areas of construction sites. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
