The Mechanical Designer I at Quanta Power Solutions supports the design and development of mechanical products equipment and systems. This role involves preparing engineering drawings 3D models bills of materials (BOMs) and design documentation while ensuring compliance with company standards customer requirements and applicable regulations.
- Create and revise 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software such as SolidWorks AutoCAD Creo or Inventor.
- Assist engineers in designing mechanical components assemblies and systems.
- Prepare detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings.
- Develop and maintain bills of materials (BOMs).
- Review designs for accuracy manufacturability and compliance with engineering standards.
- Support prototype development testing and design validation activities.
- Collaborate with engineering manufacturing quality and project teams.
- Maintain design documentation and engineering change records.
- Participate in design reviews and implement feedback from senior team members.
- Follow company safety quality and regulatory requirements.
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Technology Drafting or a related field.
- 02 years of mechanical design experience.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks AutoCAD Creo Inventor or similar).
- Understanding of engineering drawings GD&T tolerancing and manufacturing processes.
- Basic knowledge of materials mechanical systems and fabrication methods.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
