Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Intern to join our Logistic Systems (LS) engineering team. This internship provides hands-on exposure to mechanical system design layout development and engineering support activities while contributing to real-world automation and material handling projects.
The selected candidate will support initiatives related to mechanical design system layouts CAD modeling and cross-functional coordination with electrical controls and project teams. This role offers meaningful project involvement technical development opportunities and potential for full-time employment upon graduation.
Key Responsibilities:
Mechanical Design & Engineering Support
- Develop and update mechanical system layouts using 2D and 3D CAD tools (AutoCAD SolidEdge preferred).
- Create and maintain mechanical design documentation including drawings and BOMs.
- Support conceptual layouts equipment sizing and system configuration.
- Assist with design reviews and revision tracking.
Tools Trackers & Process Improvement
- Support development of engineering tools such as costing models and Excel trackers.
- Maintain design templates and standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve design efficiency and workflows.
Project Coordination & Cross-Functional Support
- Assist in gathering project requirements.
- Support scheduling and tracking of design deliverables.
- Coordinate with Systems Controls and Project teams.
Fabrication Testing & Integration Exposure
- Support preparation of design packages for fabrication.
- Assist with field feedback and design validation.
- Help track integration milestones.
Qualifications :
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Industrial Systems or related field.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD SolidEdge or similar).
- Strong Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
