Mechanical Design Engineer
Fameccanica North America is growing its Boston Hub and hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer to help design custom automation systems. This is a high-impact role for an engineer who enjoys turning concepts into practical production-ready equipment.
What Youll Do
- Design mechanical systems for custom automation equipment
- Create 3D models detailed drawings and bills of materials
- Partner with controls electrical manufacturing and project teams
- Support design reviews problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts
- Help move designs from concept through build test and deployment
Qualifications :
What You Bring
- 5 to 10 years of mechanical design experience in automation or custom machinery
- Strong CAD skills ideally in SolidWorks or Solid Edge
- Experience creating assemblies drawings and production-ready documentation
- Ability to work cross-functionally and solve design challenges efficiently
- Hands-on practical mindset with strong attention to detail
