Program Summary
The Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) is based in Jacksonville Florida. We provide maintenance and logistic services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) in support of this program. For over 35 years we have planned coordinated and executed the maintenance and logistic services for ground combat vehicles and support equipment for USMC Expeditionary Forces.
Job Summary
The Mobile Load Supervisor is responsible for planning directing and supervising daily mobile loading operations to ensure the safe efficient and timely movement of materials equipment and cargo. The supervisor oversees personnel coordinates equipment utilization enforces safety standards and works closely with operations maintenance and logistics personnel to meet production objectives while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily mobile loading and material handling operations.
Plan and assign work to equipment operators and loading crews.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations environmental requirements and standard operating procedures.
Conduct daily safety briefings toolbox talks and shift turnover meetings.
Monitor loading operations to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
Coordinate equipment availability with maintenance personnel and report equipment deficiencies.
Ensure operators complete required pre-operational and post-operational inspections.
Investigate incidents accidents and near misses and implement corrective actions.
Train mentor and evaluate employees to improve performance and operational efficiency.
Maintain accurate operational reports production records inspection logs and personnel documentation.
Coordinate with dispatch warehouse personnel transportation personnel and customers to ensure mission or production requirements are met.
Ensure proper cargo loading weight distribution and load securement procedures are followed.
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Perform other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of35 yearsof experience in mobile loading heavy equipment operations transportation logistics or material handling.
Minimum of12 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
Working knowledge of heavy equipment such as wheel loaders forklifts excavators container handlers cranes or haul trucks.
Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and safe operating procedures.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals operational procedures and work instructions.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work rotating shifts weekends holidays and overtime as required.
Valid drivers license (Commercial Drivers License preferred if required by the position).
