Position Overview

TheMcEachern Art Center (MAC)is hiring Gallery Curatorsfor the 26-27 academic year. Curators oversee gallery operations during open hours guide visitors through exhibitions and maintain a professional secure and organized space.

This role provides practical experience in gallery operations visitor engagement and arts administration.

Employment Term

Start of the Fall semester in August to the last day of classes.

Core Responsibilities

• Report directly to the MAC Director
• Lead gallery tours for guests and community members
• Maintain gallery cleanliness and organization
• Ensure alarm system is set and doors are secured at the end of each shift
• Represent the MAC professionally during all open hours

Required Qualifications

• Must be a currentMercer Universityundergraduate or graduate student
• Must beFederal Work-Study qualified

Position Details

• Pay:$10 per hour
• Schedule:ThursdaySaturday 4:00pm8:00pm (During Open Gallery Hours)
• Hours per Week:Approximately 415 hours depending on staffing needs
