What Youll Do

• Plan and deliver engaging math lessons aligned to state standards with clear objectives and high expectations.
• Create a supportive orderly classroom where every student can thrive both on-site and off-site.
• Use data and assessments to guide instruction and drive high standards of achievement for all students.
• Differentiate instruction for individuals and groups reflecting the full range of student abilities and needs.
• Build strong relationships with students families and colleagues and collaborate with staff to improve student learning.
• Bring real-world relevance to the classroom helping students apply what they learn to solve real problems.
• Adapt and enrich the curriculum with technology and creative strategies that keep students engaged.
• Provide opportunities for student growth outside the classroom such as student organizations physical activities and service learning.
• Keep accurate confidential student records including grades attendance and behavior.
• Take part in the school community attending meetings and contributing to school-wide decisions on policies programs and teaching practices.

What Youll Need

• Valid Active Teacher License issued by the State in the appropriate subject area (A substitute license does not meet this requirement.
• Bachelors degree in Education.
• A passion for improving educational opportunities for urban students.
• Strong communication organizational and classroom management skills.
• Comfort using technology to support and engage students.
• Bonus: experience with coding or computer science.
