Materials PlannerBuyer

• Execute MRP activities by creating confirming and expediting purchase orders to support production requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate material availability within the ERP system.
• Forecast raw material requirements and collaborate with suppliers to ensure continuity of supply.
• Run and analyze forecast reports inventory reports and open purchase order reports.
• Coordinate inbound shipments and deliveries from domestic and international suppliers.
• Work closely with suppliers freight forwarders and brokers to ensure on-time and cost-effective material deliveries.
• Communicate proactively with suppliers regarding purchase order status lead times shortages and delivery schedules.
• Support new product launches by ensuring timely availability of required materials.
• Partner with Operations Production Engineering Quality Customer Service and Finance departments to support business objectives.
• Assist in resolving invoice discrepancies and purchasing issues with suppliers and the finance team.
• Facilitate communication regarding supplier quality concerns engineering changes and material specifications.
• Maintain accurate purchase order dates and supplier commitments within the ERP system.
• Track and report key supply chain performance metrics including supplier performance inventory levels and material availability.
• Participate in supplier visits and meetings as needed.
• Assist the Director of Operations with supply chain improvement initiatives and special projects.
