Materials Manager – Generator Assembly COE

Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of materials personnel in materials planning procurement requirements production control and inventory control demonstrating strong integration with manufacturing operations teams and cross-functional stakeholders
- Ensures that standard materials processes and standard KPIs are used to provide the best delivery with the lowest inventory cost for the assigned area
- Implement LEAN material practices and standards
- Support the SIOP & S&OE processes: contribute to material procurement timing order release requirements available capacity & lead-times
- Lead capacity requirements planning (CRP) processes by gathering & loading information into planning tools analyzing data and providing regular updates
- Ensure that the master schedule and production schedules are synchronized using ERP (PMx) and other tools. Ensure that training and skills necessary to use planning tools are provided and tools are monitored for appropriate use.
- Report and monitor COE materials-related KPIs: on time to promise on time to need system health & usage master data adherence inventory balance and inventory turns.
- Lead and monitor all the logistics activities such as incoming receipts days to stock inventory accuracy (cycle counts) and shortages
- Demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals/programs/processes for an area or business segment. Uses experience and expertise to solve problems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in business or technical field from an accredited university
- 5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- SAP experience in a manufacturing environment
