Materials Management and Transportation Manager

Boeing Fabrication South Carolina Aerostructures (FSCA) is seeking a Materials Management & Transportation Manager (Level K) to lead our Fulfillment team in Orangeburg South Carolina.

This onsite position will provide oversight & leadership to individual contributors supporting our Tool Control Hazmat Warehouse & Shipping and Receiving across our Orangeburg site. You will be managing a team of production coordinators. This role involves complex data/trend analysis problem resolution strategic planning scheduling and project execution.

You will manage KPI performance & support emergent orders and inventory. You will collaborate frequently with multiple business functions & teams to include 777x 737 787 Operations/Production Lean Quality and Compliance.

Position Responsibilities:

• Manages and integrates employees activities across more than one area in materials management and transportation

• Develops and executes project and process plans implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals

• Acquires resources for projects and processes provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements

• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers and direct reports

• Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches products and processes

• Manages develops and motivates employees

• Works with urgency and makes decisions weighing business goals and employee needs

• Effectively communicates company and business unit goals objectives and priorities

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader temp manager large scale cross functionalproject/program management or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course Exploring Leadership

• 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing or manufacturing support environment

• 3 years of Materials Management or Supply Chain experience

• 1 years of training or experience using Lean Manufacturing principles

• Ability to work any shift assigned

• Ability to work over weekends and holidays as needed

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Bachelors degree

• Previous experience as manager or team lead

• 3 years of formal/informal leadership experience

• Experience with the following (or similar industry) systems: CribMaster Kit Integration and Tracking System (KITS) E-Enabled Tracking and Communication (eTRAC)

• Experience with safety and quality processes

• Self-motivated works well independently

• Experience operating a forklift
