Material Specialist

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate issuance of alloy to the foundry on a daily basis.
• Perform physical alloy inventories as needed.
• Process and segregate revert.
• Maintain alloy and revert cribs in terms of segregation/organization and general cleanliness of the area.
• Cut and weld changes as needed.
• Maintain the master heat database for production P/Ns and engineering special lots.
• Clean pipe in ingots as needed.
• Act as back-up for other alloy technicians.
• Assist Foundry with supplies inventory control.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be well organized and able to self direct daily activities.
• Capable of strenuous physical activity associated to revert and alloy handling.
• Must be capable of handling ingots of up to 100 pounds.
• Towmotor experience preferred.
• Successful candidate must be capable of being on call for alloy related issues have flexibility in hours and available for weekend coverage as foundry cast schedule dictates.
