Material Handler Specialist (Monday-Thursday 6PM-430AM)

About the Role

McKesson is seeking a Material Handler Specialist to support overnight operations within our distribution this role you will be responsible for receiving storing picking packing and shipping products while ensuring inventory accuracy operational efficiency and a safe work environment. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse processes attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 6PM-4:30AM mandatory overtime as required.

What Youll Do (Responsibilities)

• Receive and inspect inbound shipments verify quantities and identify discrepancies or product damage.

• Accurately pick pack stage and prepare customer orders for shipment using warehouse management systems and established procedures.

• Load and unload trucks safely using material handling equipment such as forklifts pallet jacks and other powered industrial equipment.

• Perform inventory transactions cycle counts and stock replenishment activities to maintain inventory accuracy.

• Investigate and help resolve inventory discrepancies shipment issues and other operational challenges.

• Follow all safety quality and regulatory requirements while maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.

• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to support daily distribution center goals and continuous improvement initiatives.

Basic Requirements

• Typically requires 3 years of related experience.

• Experience with order picking packing shipping receiving and inventory management processes.

• Basic computer skills and experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) RF scanners or inventory tracking systems.

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Forklift certification or wiling to attain certification.

• Experience operating forklifts pallet jacks reach trucks or other material handling equipment.

• Experience working in a high-volume distribution center warehouse fulfillment center or supply chain environment.

• Experience performing cycle counts inventory audits and discrepancy resolution.

• Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures inventory control best practices and quality standards.

• Strong problem-solving organization and time management skills.

• Experience training mentoring or providing guidance to less experienced team members.

• Familiarity with Lean Continuous Improvement or operational excellence practices.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires frequent standing walking bending reaching and lifting throughout the shift.

• Ability to lift carry push or pull up to 50 lbs throughout the shift.

• Regular use of material handling equipment and warehouse technology.

• Work is performed in a distribution center environment with exposure to moving equipment and varying temperatures.

• Must be able to safely perform the essential functions of the role while meeting all safety requirements.
