Job Summary
SUMMARY
The Material Handler is responsible for receiving verifying storing and distributing materials to support manufacturing operations. This role ensures inventory accuracy timely material availability and efficient material flow by utilizing ERP systems RF scanners forklifts and other material handling equipment while adhering to safety quality and inventory control standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the receipt of incoming materials including unloading shipments verifying quantities and documentation and performing system transactions to ensure inventory accuracy.
Receive store stage and issue materials to support production schedules and operational requirements.
Perform inventory and material transactions using ERP systems and RF scanning devices.
Transport materials safely using forklifts pallet jacks and other approved equipment.
Verify material quantities part numbers and inventory accuracy prior to issuance.
Support line-side replenishment inventory control cycle counts and stock audits.
Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure compliance with FIFO and traceability requirements.
Load unload and move materials and finished goods throughout the facility.
Maintain a safe organized and efficient warehouse and production support environment.
Adhere to all safety quality and operational policies and procedures.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing warehouse logistics or material handling operations preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience utilizing ERP systems required; SAP experience strongly preferred.
Experience using RF scanners/RF guns for inventory transactions and material tracking preferred.
Forklift and pallet jack experience required; certification or ability to obtain certification preferred.
Experience supporting manufacturing production environments preferred.
Basic computer skills and ability to navigate inventory management and manufacturing systems.
Ability to read write and follow written and verbal instructions with strong attention to detail.
Strong inventory accuracy and organizational skills.
Ability to stand walk bend and perform repetitive tasks for up to 10-12 hours with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. Mechanical lifting devices and team lifts may be utilized as needed.
