Material Handler

Position Summary
The Material Handler is responsible for receiving storing organizing and moving materials and products throughout the facility. This role ensures materials are available when needed while maintaining accurate inventory and a safe organized work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Receive inspect and verify incoming materials and shipments.

• Load and unload trucks using forklifts pallet jacks or other material-handling equipment.

• Move raw materials components and finished products to designated locations.

• Pick and stage materials for production or shipping.

• Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts.

• Label package and properly store materials.

• Inspect materials for damage or discrepancies and report issues.

• Maintain clean organized and safe work areas.

• Follow company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.

• Complete required paperwork inventory transactions and computer entries.

• Communicate material needs or shortages to supervisors and production personnel.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Previous warehouse manufacturing or material-handling experience preferred.

• Forklift certification or willingness to become certified.

• Ability to lift and move materials safely including up to 50 pounds as required.

• Basic computer and inventory-system skills.

• Good communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment
This position may involve standing walking bending lifting and working around manufacturing or warehouse equipment.
