Material Handler
Job Summary
The Material Handler is responsible for ensuring materials are supplied where needed to maintain uninterrupted production flow throughout the Hattiesburg operation. This role supports production shipping receiving and material movement activities through the loading unloading verification replenishment and transportation of materials and components. Depending on assignment the Material Handler may operate Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV) and other material handling equipment to support manufacturing operations.
Read and understand written work instructions procedures and job responsibilities
Load and unload material components in support of daily plant operations
Understand and utilize Bills of Material (BOM) and key sheets
Verify and confirm part numbers quantities and material accuracy for receipts deliveries and shipments
Utilize hand-held scanners to track engine generator and material movements
Understand line replenishment shipping and receiving processes
Support production startup and shutdown activities as needed including flexibility to start before production startup and remain after assembly operations conclude
Perform daily inspections and checklists for equipment scales scanners and other tools required to perform assigned duties
Monitor inventory levels of components and subassemblies and replenish materials using First-In First-Out (FIFO) inventory practices
Recognize variances from standard operating procedures and escalate concerns as appropriate
Notify Leads Supervisors Material Handlers or Quality of abnormal parts defective units equipment issues or process concerns
Frequent communication with Team Leads and Group Leads
Perform other duties as assigned

Maintain a safe work environment and follow all plant safety requirements
Follow all safety quality and process instructions and procedures
Practice Stop Call Wait Authority when safety quality or process concerns are identified
Ensure applicable product and environmental compliance requirements are upheld
Maintain 5S standards housekeeping activities tool and gauge protection and proper material stockage
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum 3 years of industrial manufacturing or logistics related experience
PIV certification
