Material Handler

Clean Harbors maintenance department located in Denton TX is looking for an Material Handler to join their safety conscious team! As a Material Handler youd be responsible for supervising and coordinating a perpetual inventory record of material supplies and other general stock items.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices policies and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
• Coordinates the appropriate processing ofpurchase requisitions receiving reports inventoryrequisitions applicable to items maintained and item costanalysis. Carry out shipping and receiving duties inaccordance with policy.
• Implements our Inventory Management System and becomethe expert regarding inventory management.
• Works with Maintenance Manager and Maintenancepersonnel to ensure that critical stock items andmaintenance supplies are maintained within acceptablestocking levels. Manage dead stock and return to vendoras applicable.
• Manage repair orders and requests for parts in a timelymanner which means every item request is logged in and /or reviewed daily.
• Ensure the purchase of materials tooling and services areperformed as required and consistent with policies andappropriate approval levels

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to travel away from home up to 25% of the time.
• Superior communication skills attention to detail organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to financially account for movement of materials within the maintenance region.
• Strong Working knowledge of Microsoft Products.
• Strong organizational and communication skills;
