Job Description:

Aerovel (the Airbus Helicopters Flexrotor Program) is looking for a Material Handler to join our Warehouse Operations Team based in Bingen WA.

In this role you will perform a variety of tasks in support of warehouse operations including receiving stocking picking and shipping of material. Including using knowledge of warehouse and inventory control procedures. Preparing all required forms records and documents to ensure accountability for all transactions required in order to maintain the integrity of warehouse operations.

The Airbus Helicopters Flexrotor Program offers one of the most advanced small tactical unmanned aerial systems (STUAS) with vertical take-off and landing (VTOL). It can be used day or night by US and allied forces for a diverse range of intelligence surveillance target acquisition and reconnaissance (ISTAR) on land and at sea.

Your Challenges:

Primary Responsibilities:

Kitting: 55%

  • Kit manufacturing orders using Costpoint in accordance with warehouse procedures.

  • Deliver material to the respective technicians.

  • Relieve finished goods and stock the material in accordance with warehouse procedures.

Receiving: 15%

  • Receive all vendor purchase orders and ensure number of cartons match the Airway Bill or Bill Of Lading

  • Check and receive purchase orders into Costpoint bag and label as necessary and match corresponding goods receipt document to parts.

Stocking: 15%

  • Stock parts using Costpoint in accordance with warehouse procedures.

  • Transfer material to and from buildings.

Packing: 15%

  • Pack shipments both physically and systematically in order of priority in Costpoint in accordance with warehouse procedures and ASTM (American Society of Testing and Materials) Standards

  • Ship material by priority for customer requirements in accordance with contract requirements.

Your Boarding Pass:

Required:

  • High school education or equivalent

  • Minimum of two (2) years warehouse experience

  • Must be a US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen green card holder or person covered under our existing ITAR license)

  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written

  • Good customer service skills

  • Must be detail oriented

  • Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form in English

  • Ability to effectively use a computer

Preferred:

  • Prior Costpoint experience

  • Hazmat certifications (49CFR and IATA)

Physical Requirements:

  • Onsite or remote: 100% Onsite

  • Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens able to read documents reports and engineering drawings. Daily

  • Hearing: able to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms. Daily

  • Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings deliver information and participate in communications. Daily

  • Equipment Operation: Able to operate personal computer telephone fax machine and related equipment. Able to operate warehouse material handling equipment including forklift and pallet jack. Daily

  • Carrying: able to carry documents tools drawings electronic equipment up to 50lbs/23kgs. Daily

  • Lifting: able to lift documents tools drawings electronic equipment up to 50lbs/23kgs. Daily

  • Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull carts and small items up to 50lbs/23kgs. Daily

  • Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings working on the computer. Daily

  • Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving. Daily

  • Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor. Daily

  • Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice.

  • Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces. Daily

  • Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes but is not limited to Safety Shoes Safety Glasses Hearing Protection Respirators/Masks and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site

  • Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.

Pay Range:

Hourly range based on the required profile: $21.70 - $. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on geographic differential. Individual pay is based on skills experience and other relevant factors.
