Description:

Position Purpose:

Maintains installs and repairs electrical equipment and provides for the reliable and safe operation of the hospital electrical distribution system and emergency power generators.

Hours: Full time variable shifts 40 hour per pay period

Shift: Day Shift

What Youll Do

  • Install maintain and repair electrical and low-voltage systems

  • Review blueprints and ensure work meets design and safety standards
  • Manage permits inspections and documentation for projects and repairs
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair generators transfer switches and distribution systems
  • Diagnose issues using electrical mechanical and related systems knowledge
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure quality work
  • Track work orders and maintenance activities accurately
  • Order parts and maintain inventory as needed
  • Support a safe environment for patients staff and visitors
  • Collaborate with team members and contribute to process improvements

Minimum qualifications:

  • Michigan Master Electrician License (required)

  • High school diploma or equivalent (associates or bachelors preferred)

  • 3 years of electrician experience in a healthcare setting

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems emergency power and codes

  • Ability to read blueprints and technical schematics

  • Skilled with tools testing equipment and documentation
