Position Purpose:
Maintains installs and repairs electrical equipment and provides for the reliable and safe operation of the hospital electrical distribution system and emergency power generators.
Hours: Full time variable shifts 40 hour per pay period
Shift: Day Shift
What Youll Do
Install maintain and repair electrical and low-voltage systems
- Review blueprints and ensure work meets design and safety standards
- Manage permits inspections and documentation for projects and repairs
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair generators transfer switches and distribution systems
- Diagnose issues using electrical mechanical and related systems knowledge
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure quality work
- Track work orders and maintenance activities accurately
- Order parts and maintain inventory as needed
- Support a safe environment for patients staff and visitors
- Collaborate with team members and contribute to process improvements
Minimum qualifications:
Michigan Master Electrician License (required)
High school diploma or equivalent (associates or bachelors preferred)
3 years of electrician experience in a healthcare setting
Strong knowledge of electrical systems emergency power and codes
Ability to read blueprints and technical schematics
Skilled with tools testing equipment and documentation
