Massage Therapist

Position Summary:
Provides therapeutic massage to OBGYN/Maternity hospital patients with a primary focus on postpartum mothers for pain management while also supporting antepartum and laboring mothers. Communicates effectively with clients their families and other relevant parties as needed. Maintains accurate documentation of therapies provided and the clients response to treatment. Actively participates in maternity morning huddles with nursing staff.

Skills Knowledge Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited massage therapy program with a minimum of 350 hours of instruction. City licensure is required.
• Current certification as a therapeutic massage practitioner is preferred.

Essential Functions:

• Understands embodies and demonstrates the Organizations Mission Vision and Values in all actions and decisions.
• Plans and manages massage therapy sessions tailored to the clients medical condition needs or preferences.
• Creates a therapeutic environment that promotes relaxation stress reduction and healing.
• Skilled in a variety of therapeutic massage techniques including but not limited to Swedish deep tissue Shiatsu and Amma.
