Position Summary:
- As a Mass Properties Engineer III you will research design develop test certify deploy and support cutting edge products and services. These cover a very wide range from state-of-the-art mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems.
- Youll be responsible for developing complex aerodynamic components structures and systems.
- Your technical responsibilities involve design and development analysis and test of new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle.
- Lead the calculation and analysis of mass properties for advanced aerospace systems.
- Develop and validate mass properties models and simulations.
- Inventory and weigh aircraft.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 6 years of relevant experience.
- Higher level relevant degrees may substitute for experience.
- General knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
- Exposure to Computer Aided Engineering tools.
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary design & development teams.
- Experience in aircraft inventory.
- Experience in mass properties calculation analysis modeling and simulation.
- Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance.
- Masters degree or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering.
- Knowledge of industry standard aerospace principles to include but not limited to parametric design model-based definition fundamentals of flight mechanics.
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry US Department of Defense and/or US Military.
