Livorsi Marine is looking for a Marine Technical Customer Service Representative who can use their hands-on boating and mechanical knowledge to assist customers troubleshoot product questions and coordinate solutions. Position Summary
The Marine Technical Customer Service Representative is a primary point of contact for Livorsi Marine customers. This position combines customer service order management and technical product support.
The successful candidate will understand how boats and marine systems work communicate confidently with customers and take ownership of questions and concerns from initial contact through resolution. Previous experience as a boat mechanic marine technician dealership service writer service advisor or marine parts specialist is highly valued.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Respond to customer questions by telephone and email in a professional and timely manner.
- Use marine and mechanical knowledge to answer product questions and help troubleshoot customer concerns.
- Assist customers with identifying the correct products replacement parts and potential solutions.
- Process customer orders accurately and provide timely follow-up.
- Take ownership of customer concerns and coordinate solutions through completion.
- Communicate with boat dealers builders service departments technicians distributors and retail customers.
- Coordinate with production shipping sales engineering and other internal departments to meet customer needs.
- Monitor orders and communicate shipment status from multiple company locations.
- Maintain accurate customer records order information and supporting documentation.
- Develop strong customer relationships through clear communication responsiveness and dependable follow-through.
- Identify recurring customer concerns and recommend product service or process improvements.
- Use Microsoft Outlook Word and Excel to manage customer information correspondence and order-related activities.
- Follow the companys Quality Management System and applicable inspection verification documentation and process requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Marine industry experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience in one or more of the following roles is highly desirable:
- Boat or marine mechanic
- Marine service technician
- Dealership service writer or service advisor
- Marine parts or warranty specialist
- Boat dealership marina or boat manufacturer customer support
- Working knowledge of marine mechanical or electrical systems controls instrumentation or related components is preferred.
- Ability to explain technical information clearly to customers with varying levels of mechanical knowledge.
- Strong customer service communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable using computers and learning order-entry and customer-management systems.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook Word and Excel.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple departments.
- A dependable customer-focused attitude and a commitment to following issues through resolution.
