Marine Service Technician

Position Summary

Avail is seeking MarineService Techniciansto be part of a hands-on solutions-driven team that services U.S. Coast Guard and commercial vessels. From electric and hydraulicactuation systems to globe and gate valve repairs your work helps ensure vesselsremain mission-ready reliable and operational.

Responsibilities

• Travel to client vessels and worksites to perform service repair maintenance and certification activities.
• Diagnose and repair actuator and valve systems including:
  • Butterfly valves
  • Gate valves
  • Globe valves
• Perform hydraulic ram and cylinder overhauls.
• Conduct onboard grooms equipment assessments and RMVA installations.
• Test inspect and certify relief valves.
• Follow all company safety procedures and customer requirements while working aboard vessels and at industrial facilities.

Qualifications

• Technical aptitude with experience working on mechanical and/or hydraulic systems.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability and willingness to travel and work aboard ships and in industrial environments.
• Excellent work ethic with a focus on customer satisfaction and integrity.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous U.S. Navy or marine industry experience.
• Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) standards and MIL-SPEC components.
• Certifications in valve testing hydraulic systems or related mechanical disciplines.
