Job Summary
DPP is seeking a Manufacturing Technician II for an opportunity with our client in the Aerospace and Defense Manufacturing industry.
Work Location: Onsite in Oxnard CA
Duration: 12 months
Terms: W2 Contract
Work Authorization: US Citizen
Responsibilities:
- Run functional electrical or mechanical tests on components following written instructions.
- Document results log errors and report non-conformances to engineers quality and manufacturing.
- Identify and analyze equipment failures or defects during testing.
- Execute comprehensive component and system level test plans procedures and test events.
- Participate in test planning and test readiness reviews.
- Analyze measurement requirements and equipment measurement tolerances.
- Define and maintain documented best practices for test processes and equipment.
- Contribute to maintaining and improving test equipment and infrastructure.
- Gathers maintains formats compiles and manipulates technical data such component and systems level test results and engineering design changes.
- Conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.
- Maintains engineering documentation and reports (procedures and test reports).
- Support internal and external customers needs.
- Identify troubleshoot and solve test problems and provide assistance to manufacturing inspection and test engineering related issues.
- Analyze data and provide reports in a variety of customers format.
- Must be able to support working multiple shifts; ie: 1st shift 6am to 3:30pm and 2nd shift 2:30pm to Midnight
- High School diploma or equivalent and 3 years additional education and/or related experience.
- Ability to read blueprints schematics and wiring diagrams plus experience with multimeters calipers or torque wrenches.
- Attention to detail ability to spot minor flaws and recording of accurate data.
- 3 years overall experience as a technician in the manufacturing/engineering field.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Experience working with a Microsoft Office product and process documentation.
- Experience working in Cleanroom Environment and Environmental Test Area.
- Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Must be able to work on feet for extended periods of time.
- Ability to manipulate equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Familiarity with working around delicate spacecraft hardware an advantage.
- Certification in engineering disciplines.
- Some college preferred.
