The Manufacturing Team Member Battery Production supports day-to-day production activities within our battery manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for operating production equipment following standardized work instructions performing quality checks and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented safety-focused and dependable with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Operate manufacturing equipment used in battery production
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions accurately
- Load unload and handle materials and components safely
- Perform in-process quality checks and document results
- Identify troubleshoot and report equipment or process issues
- Maintain a clean organized and safe work area
- Follow all safety requirements including PPE use and hazardous material handling
- Support team production goals related to output quality and efficiency
- Participate in training team meetings and continuous improvement activities
- Accurately complete production logs checklists and electronic records
- Ability to operate and monitor manufacturing equipment
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Effective teamwork and communication skills
- Safe material handling and equipment operation
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Understanding of standard operating procedures in a manufacturing environment
- Awareness of workplace safety practices and PPE requirements
- Basic knowledge of quality inspection and documentation processes
- Familiarity with production workflows and shift-based operations
- Consistently follow detailed work instructions and safety protocols
- Perform repetitive tasks with accuracy and focus
- Identify problems and communicate issues clearly to supervisors
- Adapt to changing production needs and shift schedules
- Maintain productivity while meeting quality and safety expectations
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to work shifts overtime and weekends as required
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 60 lbs.
- Commitment to safety quality and attendance
- Previous experience in manufacturing assembly or industrial production
- Experience in battery automotive electronics or chemical manufacturing
- Forklift or pallet jack experience
- Experience using production tracking or data entry systems
- Manufacturing plant environment with exposure to machinery noise and materials
- PPE required including steel-toe shoes respirators safety glasses and gloves
- Temperature-controlled production areas may vary by process
