Job Summary

Principal Area of Responsibility: The Process Engineer is a member of the Wax Engineering team. The successful candidate will lead root cause analysis develop process controls and champion new processes. The Process Engineer coordinates dispositions cross-functionally with other departments and/or the customer as needed.

Specific Duties:

  • Champions the development of specific investment casting processes to meet required customer specification quality and production goals.
  • Responsible for investment casting process improvements including elimination of wax defects such as cracks handling dimensional defects and the improvement of machine utilization.
  • Develop new processes define controls and develop solutions to process related programs.
  • Coordinates with product engineer production engineers supervisors and other stakeholders to achieve plant scrap targets.
  • Communicate with customers on process issues.
  • Prepare process approval packages on developmental jobs or revised processes.
  • Provide hands on floor level investigations and problem solving.
  • Respond as necessary on the off shift to advise on and provide solutions to process problems.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers clients co-workers supervisors and peers.
  • Accept special projects as assigned.
  • Bachelors degree required.

  • Ability to analyze technical data and prepare reports statements and projections. A proactive hands-on strategic thinker with solid problem-solving skills.
  • Experience presenting to high levels of management with confidence and precision.
  • Solid overall business acumen and a strong mindset for continuous improvement.
  • Attention to detail and an attitude of 100% compliance with all company and regulatory requirements.
  • Work requires verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
  • High energy level and ability to work some flexible hours.
