The Design Process Engineer develops and optimizes manufacturing processes tooling fixtures and CNC programs for precision machined components. This role works closely with Engineering Quality Production and Equipment Suppliers to improve manufacturability quality productivity and cost while ensuring compliance with applicable industry standards.
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes for precision machined components.
- Design and develop machining fixtures including selection of appropriate materials based on strength wear and performance requirements.
- Develop validate and optimize CNC programs for multi-axis machining platforms.
- Support 5-axis turn-mill and multi-tasking machine tools.
- Utilize G-Code Fanuc Macro B and Okuma User Task programming.
- GD&T and blueprint interpretation
- Precision machining processes including turning milling grinding and EDM
- Fixture and workholding design
- CNC programming and process optimization
- Root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering CNC programming process engineering or precision machining.
