Job Responsibilities & Requirements

A Brief Overview
As the sole dedicated site HR partner supporting our Hazelwood Missouri stamping plant provide functional assistance in all areas including employee relations recruitment onboarding compliance workers compensation data management and policy implementation. Coordinate employee relations issues with a diverse scope focusing on developing partnerships with Supervisors and Managers. Ensure smooth and efficient business operations by managing administrative duties in day-to-day HR matters such as timekeeping support. Champions and leads facility roll-outs and implementation of various functional initiatives such as Talent Management Total Rewards Diversity and Inclusion and Employee Engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Handle employee relations matters applying an understanding of policies and regulations in a manner that promotes a positive culture aligned to our guiding principles.

  • Directly recruit for frontline positions; support recruiting efforts for desk-based positions in partnership with assigned Talent Acquisition Partner ensuring diverse hiring in all areas. Lead onboarding efforts for all plant positions.

  • Provide guidance to managers on performance management talent development and conflict resolution

  • Time & attendance support for payroll processing ensuring accuracy and timeliness of transactions.

  • Manage all workers compensation claims with appropriate parties. Maintain and report required OSHA metrics. Support safety programs such as hearing conservation and PPE.

  • Coordinate with the center of excellence teams to implement HR programs with the respective client group

  • Support the Leave of Absence process with team members in coordination with the TPA and MiTek Benefits

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Human Resources Management required or

  • Bachelors Related Field required

  • Equivalent combination of experience and education which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute on a year for year basis

  • 1-2 Years Human Resources Experience required

  • Up to 1 Year Human Resources Experience supporting a frontline population preferred

  • To perform this job successfully an individual should have knowledge of Human Resources Systems (Workday Payroll & Recruiting Systems a plus);

  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel Word PPT Outlook); Social Media (LinkedIn Facebook etc.).

  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred


Additional Requirements

  • 5% Infrequent (1/year) overnight travel may be required for training conferences or company meetings


Physical Demands
This role is primarily performed in an office environment where a computer telephone and other office equipment are used as needed to perform the duties of the role. As part of the essential functions of this role the individual will need to access a factory and be exposed to temperature changes. This may will result in being exposed to noise vibration chemicals/fumes and navigate around factory machines.
