Manufacturing Engineering Intern

Position Type: Full-Time Summer / Part-Time School Year

DentalEZ Inc. is seeking a motivated Manufacturing Engineering Intern to join our team. You will work under the supervision of senior engineers gaining hands-on experience in production processes quality control and process improvement projects. This position provides an opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to real-world production challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Improvement: Assist in identifying opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency reducing waste and optimizing workflows (Lean Manufacturing 5S).

Documentation: Create update and maintain work instructions Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical drawings.

Data Analysis: Collect and analyze production data to support projects related to quality cost reduction or manufacturing improvements.

Troubleshooting: Participate in identifying root causes for production issues and support equipment maintenance/troubleshooting.

Project Support: Assist with tooling design equipment installation and testing new processes.

Qualifications:

• Actively pursuing an undergraduate degree in Manufacturing Engineering Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering or related technical field.
• Proficiency in computer software such as Creo Parametric AutoCAD SolidWorks and MS Office (Excel Word).
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in a plant environment and handle hands-on tasks.
