Job Summary
Steel fabrication company needs a Manufacturing Engineer to coordinate activities including systems fabrication tooling welding robotics and mechanical assembly. Will provide engineering support to improve product quality and reduce production costs.
- Work on plant layout and process improvement projects.
- Will work on automation or robotics projects. Must have some ability to write control logic for PLCs and CNC control.
- Conducts studies to maximize workflow and process utilization.
- Ensures that product designs documentation and assembly instructions are accurate maintained and effective.
- Develops work instructions designs assembly fixtures tooling and manufacturing equipment.
- Reviews production reports and solves manufacturing and maintenance problems reducing costs and preventing shipping delays.
- Develops safe work practices. Seek opportunities for improvements in product and process quality.
- Works with employees to resolve problems and avoid grievances.

Qualifications :
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Welding or similar field. Will consider partial degree.
- Should have at least three years manufacturing engineering experience preferably with fabricated or assembled products made of steel or steel parts.
- Should have experience working in an automated environment.
- Must have experience setting time standards lean manufacturing line balancing and process flow.
- Travel to other company locations maybe 35%.
