Manufacturing Engineer Structural Steel

Steel fabrication company needs a Manufacturing Engineer to coordinate activities including systems fabrication tooling welding robotics and mechanical assembly. Will provide engineering support to improve product quality and reduce production costs.

• Work on plant layout and process improvement projects.
• Will work on automation or robotics projects. Must have some ability to write control logic for PLCs and CNC control.
• Conducts studies to maximize workflow and process utilization.
• Ensures that product designs documentation and assembly instructions are accurate maintained and effective.
• Develops work instructions designs assembly fixtures tooling and manufacturing equipment.
• Reviews production reports and solves manufacturing and maintenance problems reducing costs and preventing shipping delays.
• Develops safe work practices. Seek opportunities for improvements in product and process quality.
• Works with employees to resolve problems and avoid grievances.

Qualifications :

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Welding or similar field. Will consider partial degree.
• Should have at least three years manufacturing engineering experience preferably with fabricated or assembled products made of steel or steel parts.
• Should have experience working in an automated environment.
• Must have experience setting time standards lean manufacturing line balancing and process flow.
• Travel to other company locations maybe 35%.
