Corporate Strategy is seeking a Manager Unum Labs. Manager Unum Labs plays a key role in advancing enterprise innovation by helping turn promising ideas into measurable business this position you will support the design launch and execution of pilots and proof-of-concepts that explore new products technologies partnerships and business improvements. Working collaboratively with teams across the organization and external partners you will drive pilot execution track performance generate insights and translate learnings into actionable recommendations that inform investment scaling pivot or sunset decisions. This role is ideal for a strategic analytical and execution-focused professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about creating better experiences for customers employees and the business.

Job Description

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate with internal teams (e.g. Operations Sales Compliance Legal Underwriting Billing Procurement) and external partners to onboard partners and advance pilot work
• Analyze pilot performance data and synthesize insights to help inform pilot roadmap direction
• Develop recommendations for scale pivot or sunset decisions and contribute to the development of scaling plans
• Support the innovation portfolio prioritizing initiatives based on strategic alignment feasibility and potential impact
• In partnership with the Director provide guidance mentorship and performance oversight to assigned pilots and POCs
• Support pilot planning and execution including tracking engagement metrics adoption rates and operational readiness
• Partner with technology teams to integrate emerging technologies (e.g. AI automation digital platforms) into pilot solutions
• Support workshops ideation sessions and cocreation activities to generate actionable concepts
• Deliver validated concepts and learnings to the internal business or market as defined by the pilot scope

Job Specifications

• Bachelors Degree required
• 7 years of experience in innovation product strategy venture incubation or related domains or equivalent experience
• Experience working crossfunctionally with business technology and operational teams
• Strong analytical and insightsynthesis capabilities
• Solid understanding of experimentation pilot execution and innovation delivery models
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives with competing priorities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to execute effectively in ambiguous environments
• Collaborative mindset with strong stakeholdermanagement skills
• Comfort working handson with data metrics and dashboards
• Travel requirements vary based on active project needs; estimated travel is 510%.

The base salary range for applicants for this position is listed below. Unless actual salary is indicated above in the job description actual pay will be based on skill geographical location and experience.

Additionally Unum offers a portfolio of benefits and rewards that are competitive and comprehensive including healthcare benefits (health vision dental) insurance benefits (short & long-term disability) performance-based incentive plans paid time off and a 401(k) retirement plan with an employer match up to 5% and an additional 4.5% contribution whether you contribute to the plan or not.
