Job Summary
Position: Release Manager (Contract)
Duration: Approximately 3 months (Maternity Leave Coverage)
Location: Primarily Remote with occasional onsite visits to Oakland CA
About the Role
As a Release Manager you will be responsible for coordinating and managing software releases across a cutting-edge autonomous robotics platform. Youll work closely with software firmware hardware AI/ML DevOps and operations teams to ensure successful planning and execution of multiple concurrent releases.
Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end release planning coordination and execution

Drive multiple simultaneous releases with varying priorities and timelines

Coordinate release readiness reviews risk assessments and deployment activities

Track release milestones dependencies and blockers

Collaborate with software firmware hardware AI/ML DevOps and operations teams

Maintain release documentation schedules and communications using Jira and Confluence
-
Support deployment planning and release quality initiatives
Required Qualifications

5 years of Release Management experience

Experience managing software releases in complex technical environments

Strong working knowledge of Git

Strong experience with Jira and Confluence

Ability to manage multiple releases simultaneously

Experience working cross-functionally with engineering and technical teams

Bachelors degree in Engineering Computer Science or a related field
