Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY:

Strategic partner to assigned operational division(s) leading and executing HR strategies programs and initiatives that support the organizations business objectives and priorities. Provides guidance in Employee Relations issues leadership/staff development and performance management.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports Senior Management team to ensure fair and consistent enforcement of policies and practices. Ensures legal compliance and understanding of policies and processes. Investigates employee workplace situations including claims of harassment discrimination performance and policy violations.
  • Supports management in leading Team Member engagement. Supports the TSAT efforts by assisting management with communication and action planning. Works with management to identify and manage the Team Member impact of company decisions and changes.
  • Mentors and provides guidance to Team Members related to their career goals. Motivates teams to accomplish overall company goals. Build bench strength within the operational division by identifying training and development opportunities.
  • Acts as liaison between management and core HR by assisting with programs or communicating information relating to payroll records benefits training compensation and/or staffing.
  • Provides advice and consultation for park hourly non-exempt and exempt Team Members on policy interpretation EAP issues employee conflict etc.
  • Provides a holistic point of view works across boundaries anticipates long-term implications and identifies proactive solutions to business challenges.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy procedures training and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong organizational skills ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated experience in employee relations performance management and conflict resolution
  • Experience supporting organizational change and driving culture initiatives
  • Ability to partner effectively with leadership and influence without authority
  • Strong analytical problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Excel Word and PowerPoint experience with an HRIS (i.e. SAP) preferred

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resource Psychology or Management required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 years Human Resources experience including 1 year supervisory experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.
