Sourcing & Production Summit NJ (Hybrid)
Boll & Branch is looking for a Manager Sourcing & Production to join our team and play a central role in bringing our premium home textile products to market. You will own end-to-end sourcing and production execution across our ethical and sustainable supply chain actively building and managing vendor relationships from initial identification and onboarding through PO issuance and on-time delivery while maintaining the cost discipline and quality standards the brand is known for.
The ideal candidate has deep hands-on knowledge of how home textile products are made and the cross-functional fluency to translate production realities into business context for partners across QA/Compliance Merchandising Planning Finance Product Development and Design. As a growing company this role offers meaningful visibility across leadership including direct exposure to our SVP of Product Creation and our Founder and Chief Product Officer. Our ideal candidate is highly organized self-motivated and detail-oriented with a genuine interest in how exceptional products get made.
This position reports to the Director of Sourcing & Production.
What Youll Do
Production Execution
- Own all production milestones from PO issuance through on-time delivery managing open order flow against allocation and capacity plans
- Maintain PO accuracy and system data integrity across NetSuite and PLM with the same rigor applied to factory relationships
- Aggregate and analyze high volumes of production data including on-time delivery performance FOB costs and contributing cost breakdown and overall cost complexion to surface insights and support business decisions
- Monitor in-season delivery performance flag disruptions early and suggest a path forward
Factory Partnerships
- Build and maintain strong working partnerships with manufacturing partners across multiple time zones
- Communicate directly with factory partners to surface risk early escalate appropriately and drive resolution
- Track factory partners performance against agreed timelines and quality standards and address gaps through credible consistent engagement
Sourcing & Costing
- Actively manage counter-sourcing and country of origin diversification initiatives from initial factory outreach through production completion
- Contribute to cost management including tracking FOB and landed costs flagging variances and supporting cost optimization conversations
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Partner with Product Development Design Merchandising Planning Logistics QA/Compliance and Finance across the full product lifecycle from initial concept to product launch
- Bring business context to production decisions thinking upstream about how delays quality issues or cost changes affect the broader team and driving toward resolution rather than just escalation
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives with a focus on communication visibility and decision-making quality
What You Bring
- 5 years of production and sourcing experience in home textiles apparel or soft goods; home textiles strongly preferred; a background in apparel or other soft goods with transferable knowledge will be considered
- Hands-on technical knowledge of fabric construction and manufacturing processes; you can speak credibly on product details with factory partners
- Experience with PLM and ERP systems (NetSuite experience a plus); well-versed in using Excel and data tracking
- Proactive collaborative communicator who surfaces risks early you communicate honestly and transparently with factory partners and internal teams even when the news is difficult
- You build trust through reliability and consistent follow-through and works fluidly across functions and levels
- Strong operational instincts; highly organized and systems-oriented comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- You stay curious when priorities or timelines shift reassessing quickly trying new tools or approaches and keeping production moving forward rather than waiting to be told whats next
- A genuine interest in product and how its made; you care about materials construction and the ethical and sustainable standards that define the Boll & Branch supply chain
- Comfortable using AI tools to strengthen analysis anticipate questions and catch issues before they surface; you view AI as a way to raise the quality of your work
- Willingness to travel internationally to visit factory partners as needed
This role is based in our Summit NJ headquarters. To support our business and company culture we work together in person a minimum of two days per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) with flexibility to work remotely on other days. Occasional work from one of our other offices and/or stores may be required.
The annual base salary range for this role is $83000 to $130000. New hires are typically brought in between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on qualifications internal equity and the budgeted amount for the role. Base salary is one part of a total rewards addition to your base compensation you may be eligible to be part of the Companys annual bonus program with a non-binding Company and individual performance-based target bonus.
This role is not eligible for relocation assistance. Additionally Boll & Branch will not commence an immigration case or sponsor an individual for this position (for example H-1B or other employment-based immigration).
