Role Overview

Client is seeking a hands-on Manager of Software Engineering to lead a team of engineers and drive the design development delivery and continuous improvement of enterprise and internal-facing applications. The ideal candidate combines strong people leadership with hands-on expertise in modern application development cloud APIs integrations and AI-assisted software engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead mentor and develop a team of software engineers.
• Drive application architecture technical design development testing deployment and support.
• Establish engineering standards for coding code reviews testing security documentation Git and CI/CD.
• Partner with Product Data Security Infrastructure QA and business teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Own application reliability performance technical debt and operational readiness.
• Lead incident management root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Manage third-party engineering partners and distributed development teams.
• Champion AI-assisted development including Claude Code and AI agents for coding testing documentation debugging refactoring and automation.
• Establish appropriate governance security validation and human-oversight practices for AI-generated code.

Required Skills

• 10 years of software development experience.
• 3 years in Engineering Management Technical Lead or people leadership.
• Strong hands-on experience with C# .NET/.NET Core REST APIs SQL Server and Cloud platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD Git Agile software architecture design patterns integrations testing and application security.
• Experience delivering and supporting enterprise-grade applications.
• Strong stakeholder management communication leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelors degree in computer science Software Engineering Information Systems or equivalent practical experience.
