Summary
Manages daily operations for sleep disorders centers development and implementation of departmental policy and procedures staff training and competency ensuring operational efficiency hiring firing and performance review of staff and input to budget under the general supervision of department director administrator and/or executive.
Job Duties
- Develops and coordinates schedules for patients and staff to ensure optimal labor productivity and achieve on-target performance metrics.
- Facilitates the orientation and mentorship of staff to workflows and standards of care in respective patient populations.
- Develops and implements annual and ongoing staff competencies based on staff development needs or regulatory agency requirements.
- Develops and implements workflows and behavior standards to ensure operational efficiency patient safety and satisfaction for internal and external customers.
- Assists in execution of personnel actions relative to staff job performance including performance evaluations disciplinary and corrective actions and development discussions.
- Identifies facilitates and monitors Performance Improvement and department initiatives to improve clinical quality and workflow efficiency.
- Develops and/or revises standards of care in respective areas of clinical expertise/patient populations.
- Maintains and updates policy and procedure manual in accordance with department need and organizational standards.
- Monitors staff time and attendance in accordance with hospital & departmental policy.
- Investigates installs and/or troubleshoots/assists with remedying software and equipment issues across service line.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in business or healthcare administration.
- 2 years relevant clinical healthcare experience
Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing frequent keyboard use *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling bending squatting and performing CPR.
