The Manager Responsible Sourcing will lead ELCs Sensitive Supply Chains (SSC) program executiondriving implementation of raw material-specific action plans advancing upstream traceability and data quality and partnering cross-functionally and cross-regionally with Global Supplier Management R&D Legal brands and suppliers to mitigate environmental economic and human rights risks in ELCs global ingredients supply base and enable credible communications and claims.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage ELCs Sensitive Supply Chains program by advancing and monitoring implementation of raw material-specific action plans and providing progress updates to leadership.
- Advance upstream supply chain transparency and traceability by leading projects with service providers and coordinating ELC participation in multi-stakeholder traceability initiatives (e.g. TRASCE) and relevant industry platforms.
- Sustain and deepen engagement with ingredients suppliers on responsible sourcing practices and systematic sharing of ingredient sourcing information; progress the use of certified ingredients where applicable.
- Assess and advise on sustainability and human rights risks in priority supply chains; evaluate supplier sourcing practices and support verification approaches (e.g. certifications third-party assessments) aligned to program ambition.
- Develop leadership-ready updates (e.g. SSC SteerCo pre-reads) that synthesize progress risks and decisions needed; manage project plans milestones and stakeholder inputs.
- Represent ELC in external coalitions and working groups (e.g. ASD) to identify best practices advance collaborative solutions and help remediate human rights and environmental issues in key supply chains.
- Coordinate with ELCs Charitable Foundation and partners to monitor implementation of impact projects in sourcing communities; evaluate progress steer improvements and support internal alignment and resource mobilization.
- Evaluate brand marketing claim requests related to raw material sourcing practices in partnership with brands Legal and R&D; support public reporting and disclosures as an SSC subject-matter expert.
- Monitor analyze and improve SSC data using internal systems and external platforms/sources; track KPIs (e.g. transparency traceability depth data quality) and identify opportunities to strengthen program effectiveness.
- Stay current on evolving regulations and protocols relevant to upstream supply chains (e.g. EUDR) and translate implications into practical requirements for suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- 5 years of experience in responsible sourcing sustainability human rights and/or procurement (preferably with raw materials/ingredients supply chains)
- Demonstrated experience managing portfolios of projects and translating complex topics into leadership-ready narratives and materials
- Experience with supply chain traceability systems/processes supplier data quality management and KPI development/reporting
- Ability to engage and influence suppliers and internal stakeholders on upstream human rights and environmental due diligence expectations
- Experience working with external NGOs industry initiatives and multi-stakeholder collaborations
- High proficiency in MS Office including MS PowerPoint Excel and Copilot
- Proven ability to collect interpret and communicate complex sustainability product and environmental data (e.g. certifications traceability data reporting frameworks)
- Strong passion for corporate responsibility and continuous improvement across global supply chains
Pay Range:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $88000.00to $144000.00.Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience skills education and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic addition to base salary this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
