Harborview Medical Center Environmental Services has an outstanding opportunity for a Manager of Environmental Services .

WORK SCHEDULE

• 100% FTE (40 hours per week)

• Day Shift

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

• Manage day-to-day operations for one of Harborview Medical Centers largest departments

• Oversee Environmental Services functions including cleaning and disinfection waste management linen services integrated pest management and room setup

• Support specialized patient care areas including Operating Rooms (OR) ICUs patient care floors and the Emergency Department (ED)

• Develop and implement efficient operational processes and Environmental Services best practices

• Collaborate with hospital leaders staff vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure continuity and quality of services

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage day-to-day EVS operations to ensure the operational needs of the hospital are met

• Oversee cleaning and disinfection waste management linen services integrated pest management and room setup

• Ensure compliance with infection control patient safety and environmental services standards and regulations

• Partner with hospital leaders to coordinate EVS activities schedules priorities and service expectations

• Assist the Director with operational plans budgets policies procedures and department strategies

• Manage staffing including interviewing hiring training performance management and corrective action

• Plan assign and oversee the work of supervisors and other direct reports

• Monitor department performance and implement best practices to improve quality safety efficiency and patient care

REQUIREMENTS

• Business Administration degree or related field equivalent

• Three to four years of management experience preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting

• Equivalent education and experience may substitute for required qualifications
