Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) is looking for a Manager - Mechanical Product Design (Digital and Power Electronics Engineering) (Level K) to join our team in El Segundo California.

Position Responsibilities:

• Manages employees performing mechanical engineering and technical activities in the area of Power and Digital Electronics product design
• Develops and executes project and process plans implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
• Acquires resources for projects and processes provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners and direct reports
• Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches products and processes
• Manages develops and motivates employees

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in El Segundo CA.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

• This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required) (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical Mechanical or Aeronautical) Computer Science Data Science Mathematics Physics Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
• Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader temp manager large scale cross functionalproject/program management or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course Exploring Leadership.
• 5 years of experience in Electronics Packaging Design in any of the following disciplines: Airborne Space Digital RF or Power mechanical systems
• 5 years of experience with Electrical Electronic and Electromechanical (EEE) component Circuit Card Assembly and Printed Wiring Board specification and quality requirements

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Previous experience in designing power or digital electronics units
• Masters Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• Experience in structural and thermal analysis
• Proficiency in CREO Teamcenter MS Project and Mentor Xpedition
• 5 years of experience leading engineering teams
